Shandong Chengxin Engineering Construction & Consulting Co., Ltd (CHENGXIN) was established in 1996. Our main business is to provide professional consulting services for projects of power generation, power transmission and transformation. In 2000 CHENGXIN became a leading enterprise of the electric power consulting industry in China, and has maintained the leading position in the cutting edge high-tech fields of "large-scale thermal power plant, ultra-high voltage" and so on. At present, among the over 1800 employees, 1650 of them have been engaged in various projects for engineering and technical management of electric engineering design, civil construction, installation construction, project commissioning, operation and maintenance, equipment manufacturing and project cost etc.

Since its establishment, the company has undertaken more than 1000 large-scale projects, covering 30 provinces, autonomous regions and centrally administered municipalities directly under the Central Government. Meanwhile CHENGXIN participated in the project construction and provided consulting services in Venezuela, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Turkey, Iraq, Pakistan, Zambia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Libya, Equatorial Guinea, Côte d'Ivoire and Kingdom of Lesotho. The projects supervised (managed) by the company have been granted the highest quality awards in China for many times.

CHENGXIN has always been maintaining a leading position in high-end supervision (project management) performance of construction of the state power grid and power plant projects in China. It has undertaken successively a series of remarkable projects such as the first imported type of one million-kilowatt coal-fired power generation unit project (Shanghai Waigaoqiao Power Plant Phase II 2×900MW Project); the whole process supervision (project management) of the first 1000MW USC generation unit project in China (Shandong Zouxian Power Plant Phase IV 2×1000MW Project); the first ±800kV AC UHV Pilot project in China; the project of the back-to-back converter station with the largest converter capacity in the world in the same period (Gaoling Back-to-Back Converter Station Project 2 × 750MVA of ±500kV Northeast China — North China Interconnection) and the first DC interconnection project between China and foreign country (±500kV Heihe Back-to-Back Converter Station of China-Russia Interconnection).

To date, the company has supervised and managed 254 sets of various coal-fired power generation units with a total installed capacity of over 116,415MW, including 34 units at 1000MW level, 74 units at 600MW level and 75 units at 300MW level.
